Tech Article 12/13/13

A secret unmanned aircraft built by Nothrop Grumman for the U.S. military has begun test flights and could be ready for duty by 2015. The RQ-180 aircraft is designed for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and attack missions. The RQ-180 has a wingspan of more than 130 feet and can be seen at Northrop's plant at Palmdale, C.A. The RQ-180 is the successor of the smaller, less stealthy, shorter ranged RQ-170 built by Lockheed Martin.
